So my dad comes from vacation and ???!!!
by Kool Jo inhello folks.....so in an earlier thread i started, you'd realize that my father and i are quite close, we talk about almost everything/anything.. he traveled outside the country (he's semi-retired), enjoying the fruitage of his hard labor during his younger years.
so he recently returned home after he and mum went away to catchup with some old friends in another country.. upon his returning home, and subsequently to the meetings, he was told that a decision was made to strip him of his "field overseer" role, but will still continue to be an elder.. the reason...he goes away for too long too often...you can't be away from your congregation for three months out of the year!!!???
has anyone else had this experience before?

Meeting for not paying assembly fees???!!!!
by Kool Jo inhey folks......has anyone else heard of, or experienced this before?.
i visited by parents over the weekend and accompanied them to their assembly....same rubbish spoken about since ive been born....obey the gb, donate your last penny, no education and be a pushover.. anyways, our assembly hall has lush vegetation and scenery, so i was more focused on that....i started dozing off after lunch, so got up and went walking, saw some older folks from the congregation i grew up with.. upon the conclusion of the assembly, wed normally leave out right after the prayer ends so as to avoid the traffic.
however, for this assembly he told me that hes gonna be a few minutes with the elders and branch representatives...so a few minutes turned into an hour..

JW.Org
by Kool Jo ini've been pondering......with this new "push" to direct individuals to thw jw.org website, even when the dubs are out preaching...what do you think the future will be for the preaching work?.
some time ago i read that the mormons have implemented a live chat feature that allows you to speak with their missionaries....i doubt the borg would do this, but i think they have something up their sleeves.. peace.

Heard from some old friends :-(
by Kool Jo inhello:.
so as i've mentioned before, i lived in south florida for a few years where i worked and went to college....at that time i was an "ok" dub....didn't like the borg, but never knew ttatt...i've since left south florida, but still communicate now and again with some of the folks there.. this weekend apparently was the assembly at west palm beach...i got a call from some old friends, telling me how their kids got baptized and how happy they are as the end draws near blah blah blah...the sad thing, the kids are no older than 14....i can just imagine the amount of pressure those poor kids were under, not even knowing the full extent of the decision they made today...this makes me really sad.. i hope with the increase of ex-jw sites, these young folks won't be afraid to read and eventually come to an understanding of ttatt.. peace.

Lack of Zeal
by Kool Jo inhey folks...was talking to an friend on skype who's a jw.
she mentioned that she no longer has the zeal to do fs and meetings ect...if a jw confided in you, how would you handle it without rasing suspisions whilst at the same same trying to get them to think or even plant a few seeds?.
she says once she leaves the kh, she doesn't feel the desire to do anything spiritual and that her fs time has reduced...she also told me that she feels "lazy" in her worship to jehovah.. thanks.

kool jo: i won't be able to guarantee you that...our clients can be quite demanding and we have to fit into their schedule.. jw applicant: well, the truth is, i'm one of jehovah's witnesses, and i have commitments that are very important to me, hence my reason for asking.. kool jo: (a big wtf moment)...i just pretended i didn't know a thing about jw's....so what happens if a client wants to meet with you on a saturday morning?.
jw applicant: well, i guess i'd have to come for work...you have no idea how happy i am to even be called for an interview.
